Website Privacy
This Privacy Notice explains how information is handled when visiting fakbudgets.com or using features available through the FAK website.
This notice applies to the website. The FAK mobile app has its own Privacy Policy, which covers app accounts, budgeting data, subscriptions, backups, app analytics and other processing associated with use of the app.
Information FAK Processes
Most of the FAK website can be used without providing personal information.
When the website is visited, FAK's hosting and security providers may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, referrer information and network or security data.
Limited website usage and performance information is also processed through Cloudflare Web Analytics.
If information is submitted through the Contact form or certain account-related features hosted on the website are used, the information provided is processed as described below.
Contact Enquiries
The Contact form collects:
- Name
- Email address
- Message
This information is used to receive, review and respond to the enquiry and, where necessary, maintain appropriate records of communications.
Contact enquiries are submitted to and stored using Supabase.
After a new enquiry is received, Resend sends FAK an administrative notification that a new website enquiry is waiting for review. The submitted name, email address and message are not included in that notification email.
Information submitted through the Contact form is not used for advertising, marketing profiles or retargeting.
App Account Features on the Website
Some pages on fakbudgets.com support existing FAK app accounts. These include email confirmation, password recovery and account-deletion requests.
Depending on the feature used, these pages may process information such as an email address, verification or recovery tokens, authentication information, multi-factor authentication codes, a new password, or an optional message submitted with an account-deletion request.
These features use Supabase to provide FAK's account and authentication services.
Authentication sessions used by these website utilities are not configured to persist in browser storage. Sensitive token information is removed from the visible browser address where practicable.
These pages exist to support FAK app accounts. Further information about account and app data is available in the FAK App Privacy Policy.
Website Analytics
FAK uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand basic website usage and performance, such as visits, page views, referring sources, browser and operating-system information, country-level information and website performance metrics.
Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed to provide aggregate website analytics without using analytics cookies to identify or track individual visitors.
FAK does not use Google Analytics or other third-party behavioural analytics on this website.
Cookies, Advertising and Retargeting
FAK does not use advertising cookies, marketing pixels or retargeting technologies on this website.
Website activity is not used by FAK to build advertising profiles or track visitors across other websites.
The website does not set first-party analytics cookies or use persistent browser storage for analytics.
Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects certain forms from spam and automated abuse, may use limited browser or security information necessary to perform its security function.
If technologies are introduced in future that materially change how visitors are tracked or require consent, this notice will be updated and appropriate consent controls will be implemented where required.
Cloudflare and Website Security
FAK uses Cloudflare to help host, deliver, secure and monitor the website.
As part of providing these services, Cloudflare may process technical information associated with website requests, including IP addresses, request information, browser or device information, network data and security signals.
Cloudflare Turnstile is used on certain forms to help distinguish legitimate users from automated or abusive submissions.
Turnstile processes browser, device, network and security signals for this purpose. The security token generated by Turnstile is used to validate the submission and is not stored by FAK with the submitted form information.
Service Providers
FAK uses a limited number of service providers to operate the website:
- Cloudflare — website delivery, security, Turnstile and website analytics.
- Supabase — backend services used for contact submissions and FAK account-related website features.
- Resend — administrative email notifications when certain website requests are received.
These providers process information in connection with the services provided to FAK and according to their respective service arrangements and privacy practices.
Personal information submitted through the Contact form is stored in Supabase. The Resend notification for a new website enquiry does not contain the submitted name, email address or message.
How Long Information Is Kept
Information submitted through the website is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to handle the relevant enquiry or request, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes, protect the service and meet legal or regulatory obligations.
Contact enquiries and account-deletion requests are stored in Supabase and are not currently subject to an automatic deletion schedule. FAK may delete information when it is no longer reasonably required for the purposes for which it was collected.
Temporary technical and security information may be retained for shorter periods according to the operation of FAK's systems and service providers.
